When my husband and I walked into the new Sugarlove and White showroom in Sydney's leafy Woollahra, we looked around, looked at each other and said "this is so us".

Sugarlove and White designs are celebrating their 10 year anniversary with this gorgeous showroom.

With interiors designed by stylist, Nellie Tilley, the vision for the shop was sophisticated elegance with a touch of the Hamptons.

Madison 2009 Wedding Special

The August issue of Madison features their annual wedding special.

The usual pages of designer gowns, rings and shoes are pretty but what I love of course are the real weddings. The three featured weddings are very different and are all stunning.

The wedding of Tim Ross (aka Rosso of Merrick & Rosso on Nova 96.9) and Michelle Glew had me poring over every detail, loving the relaxed yet elegant feel of the day.

I imagine Tim and Michelle's day had a wonderfully personal feel, more like a big family lunch than a wedding. The long table with the sun umbrellas in the bush setting is unexpected and beautiful.

Traditional and romantic. The church service would have been breathtaking.

A chic country wedding

The bride's simple hair, lace gown, ivory roses and the inclusion of family photos practically have me swooning. An elegant country affair.

I loved our cake so much- and even better, I just gave Angel's Dreaming my inspirations and they passed that on to the wonderful people at Polkadot and this is what we got!!
And the flavours you ask?
Mouthwatering chocolate and rasperry in two cakes and Baci in the other.

Monday's Muse: Charlotte York

Ok, so I know that Charlotte York isn't a real person, but as a fan of Sex and the City and having loved it and watched it faithfully for almost ten years (well, more if you include re-runs and the movie), I sometimes feel like she is real. A fervent believer in true love, Charlotte is ever stylish; classic tailoring, feminine elegance make her today's muse.

Charlotte's first wedding to Trey MacDougall was supposed to be a fairytale and she looked the part in a full skirted Vera Wang gown. Practically mandatory for a Park Avenue Princess!

The Badgely Mischka gown Charlotte marries Harry Goldenblatt is beautiful and demure- classic Charlotte, albeit a little older and little wiser.

I admire the timeless look of both styles, something I imagine is difficult to achieve however it would be wonderful to look back in the years to come and not cringe at the fashions of the day.

Oh, and I am not the only one to covet Charlotte's elegant Park Avenue apartment am I?

The Baccarrat crystal, the vases with fresh white roses and the perfectly polished surfaces create a feminine and comfortable space I'd love to call home.
