Monday's Muse: Dita Von Teese

The surprisingly traditional wedding of Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson was (unsurprisingly) gothic in style.

Dita lived out her Scarlett O'Hara fantasy in a Vivienne Westwood royal purple silk taffeta gown whilst Manson channeled Captain Hook in Galliano and Moschino. The result being dramatic, stylish and romantic. (ignoring for the moment that they are no longer together!!)

A little different to the usual white frocks, but nevertheless Dita looks fabulous and is today's muse for her bravery; combining her personality along with tradition. Whilst most of us don't go this far, it is inspiration for in being true to the vision for a personal day for you and your fiancée.

The wedding was held at Kilshan House in Ireland, owned by friend and artist Gottfried Helwein who also hosted the wedding. The ceremony was conducted by film director Alejandro Jodrowsky in the castle's ornate dining room. The reception (image above) was held in the Great Hall and was decorated with 4,000 black and red roses, gold and black Wedgewood crystal goblets, black linens, black velvet curtains, all lit by candelight which added to the gothic feel of the evening.

For more great images visit the Vogue coverage of the day, as well as proof the bride wore a 1940's style white dress for her L.A registry wedding.
