Real Wedding Style: Laura and Joshua- part 3

The classic glam theme with a chic palette of black and white was continued to the styling of the reception.

"I am very much that sort of girl; the way I design, the way I dress, the way I decorate our home"

I am blown away by the amazing details of Laura's wedding- and the fact that she did the vast majority of it herself- talented gal!
"I designed a logo, invitations, maps, programmes, bonbonnieres, menus, table numbers, place cards, gift boxes for my bridesmaids, signs for around the reception and in the ladies bathroom."

Whilst Laura had visions of a chic cupcake tower, Josh preferred a more traditional cake. They compromised with a classic white 2 tier cake, chocolate mud and fruit cake.

"The cake for us was more about the tradition of cutting as we had quite a generous 3 course and pre-canapes with dessert"

"In the end the important thing is that you love each other and that you are willing to make sacrifices"

What advice would you give other brides? "Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, if you have a special skill that you can trade with someone, awesome! I did a contra deal with my photographer and she was incredible!"
